Decorating for Fall!

I spent some time this weekend decorating for fall. I know, I know.. fall doesn't officially start until September 23rd this year. We will just say, I'm ready!
I like for my entry way to be inviting. Autumn happens to be one of my favorite seasons!

There is just something so peaceful about this time of year. Summer makes me want to pack bags and run out the door looking for a new adventure. Fall makes me want to cuddle up with my family or a book and stay home and bake.

Harmony, Grace and Abundance are what my baskets read... They remind me to take time to thank God for all that he gives!

Each year when I pull out my fall decor I find this picture of my sons that I just love. My boys are 16 and 13 now, this picture is of them at a pumpkin patch, around the ages 5 and 2. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom with them at that stage in their lives and I loved every minute of it!
In the fall I like to cover my tables with tablecloths and place more rugs on the floor. I like to make our house feel warm and cozy.

I love the burnt oranges and gold colors of fall.

Now that our house is ready for fall I will patiently await God to paint the trees magnificent colors.

Hi Amy...

Ohhh...your home is just "autumn delicious", my friend! Thank you for giving us a tour! Your new wreath looks beautiful and it certainly causes your pretty entryway to sing of autumn! Love it! You have such a beautiful home, my friend! Thanks for sharing it with us!

I am decorating for autumn now too! It really is beginning to feel like autumn...the days are much cooler and the nights...nearly cold! Hehe! Isn't it funny...autumn always provokes the same feeling in me as well...I just want to curl up with a good book and bake! Hehe!

Hope you're having a super sweet Sunday, Amy!

Hello, there, Amy!

well, technically, thank you for visiting my blog.=]

then, there's the gush....I adore your "About Me" description for your Blog! That's about me, too! =]

and, fall....yes, there is DEFINITELY a nip in the air, here, in VT. I was confused, at first. Hurricane Irene made school be delayed for eight days. It made it feel like extended August and like it should still be summer. you should have seen me resisting my sweater and wondering why I was so cold in the dog days of summer. Silly me! I've caught up, now, and you encourage me to make home warm and comfy!

Love, Katy Noelle

Nice job, Amy! Everything looks lovely. I love fall, too. Probably my favorite season of all. Susan p.s. Thanks for your visit the other day, too, and for your comment.
