More Basement Progress- Stairs and Appliances

I know it may be hard to see, or at least it is for me since we have so much to still do, but we are making progress on the basement.
Hubby has taken on the stairs all by himself and is doing a great job (remember we are not carpenters, just attempting to be DYIers).

Don't worry when then are completely done I will be posting more pics (the carpet hasn't come in yet, which is a good thing because the stairs have to be ready for the carpet to be installed!)

Today the fridge and dishwasher were delivered.. **Please note the finished tile on the floor!**

Only I'm not quite ready for them...

I spent the day sanding and conditioning the cabinets. Have I ever mentioned how I dislike sanding?? Thankfully an awesome friend came over to assist and promised she would be back later tonight to help stain them (the hubby will be busy finishing the stairs!)

I hope to return with another update real soon!

Great progress. Love the tile floor, you did a great job. Work, work, work, but it will be worth it.

That is a HUGE project! I am impressed with how well it looks and your energy to take on such a task. The stairs (and the tile) look great!

You are both AMAZING! I cannot believe you are doing this huge job yourself! Everything is looking fantastic. Where did you both get these skills and talents?

Hugs,
Suz

Yay, Amy! This looks great. Your tile job is very impressive. I hope the stain job went well. That's a very good friend you have.

Matt and I have been staring at our stairs a lot today, not sure what to do with them. We'd better figure it out, thought, because tomorrow evening is finally the official start of framing. One thing for sure is that he will not be doing what your hubby did and rebuild them. I suggested it and he looked at me like I had two heads. I really like your banister with metal posts.

Keep moving forward! Looking forward to more updates!
