Let the planning begin! My husband and I (oh how I love typing that) decided for our family vacation this year we would take the boys on a cruise. Neither one of us has ever been on one and we thought it would be a great family adventure.
I've started researching cruises and there are sooooo many to choose from! I am overwhelmed! Isn't it hard to believe that I've always wanted to be a travel agent!
Here are my desires for this vacation...
1) I would like to go this winter... I HATE the cold!
2) I would like it to be as family friendly as possible.
3) I am thinking the Carribean would be ideal!
4) I want ports in some interesting places, mainly for the boys to experience the shore excursions .
There are still sooooooo many choices! Wish me luck! And if you've been on a cruise, advice is much appreciated!

Oh, Amy. Could you take me along with you guys? Ha! I've never been on a cruise. But I'd love to go one day, God-willing and the creeks don't rise! Sincerely, Susan
We cruised on our honeymoon 25 years ago ~ I am sure soooo much has changed! Have fun planning!!
Oh Amy!!!! Cruises are SO much fun. You are all going to have a ball - particularly in the Caribbean. There are so many wonderful ports of call, each one with its own uniqueness and beauty.
My sister and flew our older sister to Florida for a surprise 60th Birthday cruise last month and we had the best time. I chronicled our adventure on my blog. It's a little long, but I broke it up into an 8-part series. If you want to skim through the shenanigans, follow this URL and scroll, baby, scroll:

Congratulations on your brand new marriage! How exciting that you got married in Jamaica! Nicely done. Larry and I got married in Las Vegas and I thought that was fun.
Hope all is well. Love to you and the awesome men in your life!

PS: I think the ship in your second photo is one of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships. One exactly like it with all the pretty flowers painted on the bow was moored next to our ship in Nassau. The ship was really something!
Can you adopt me? We went on a cruise in 2003 to Nassau, CoCo Kay, and Key West. We had a blast!! I have heard that St. Thomas is great too.

Only a cruise along the coast of Croatia. It was magical! It was a smaller cruise ship but we had wonderful food and the stops were fabulous. It is a beautiful country and I would have missed it if it weren't for our Croatian exchange student.
No advice...just have a wonderful time! And go in the winter...I hate the cold, too!!!

I'm with you on wanting to escape the cold winter weather for a tropical vacation.
My only advice for going on a cruise, would be bring some Dramamine. Have fun planning your trip!
